Therimage Labelling

Therimage (heat transfer) labels are pre-printed images that can be transferred to the container in one pass. Labels (provided by the Customer) can be printed in up to five colours, including line, half-tone, and process printing providing the benefit of a multi-coloured print with the cost of only a single application.

The therimage process involves the heat transfer of rotogravure images from a treated release paper to a container. The web (printed in reverse) is pre-heated and the image is transferred to the container by a heated silicone rubber pressure roller.
